Hamlet vs Bennets

While the Bennetts are a dysfunctional family as the parents fight consistently over the future of their numerous daughters, the daughters believe this familial behavior is normal. Being raised in this kind of environment is unhealthy and detrimental to a kids mentality. However, it is clear that the Hamlet family is much more dysfunctional in every sense of the way compared to the Bennet's family. Although the Bennett family is unhealthy, the parents mainly search for their kids happiness. However, in Hamlet, betrayal is a common factor and the parents only search for their own individual happiness. Having your mom marrying your uncle after your father dies, a kid would be very disturbed and raised in an uncomfortable environment.

Working on

I believe that my title for this essay was not very orginal. I need to work on fiinding better titles. I also need to focus on my thesis as it was non existent. I need to continue focusing a on my mistakes and make sure that my essay flows better in between paragraphs. I also need t work on clarifying my points Bethany correcting the occasional errors. I also need to outline better my essays in order to show an obvious organization.

Letter

I love to watch movies, it is one of my many passion. Therefore when I first saw the assignment I had a feeling of excitement flowing through my veins. I’ve always liked to analyze someone’s acting and can tell whenever it is bad or not. So I decided to concentrate on focusing on acting. My very first idea was to focus on the scenery, but as my mother pointed out to me, I am much better at analyzing acting. After seeing all the versions of the movies, I started choosing between each movies while making sure that the acting was somewhat simple enough to analyze. Most of my best ideas arrived while I was writing the essay and watching the play at the time. I did not really face any major difficulties, everything came naturally and easily to me. After finishing writing my essay I gave it to my dad and mother to proof read it.

As we see the movies they become more and more modern. The last one we watched which was with David Tennant is the most modern one of them. I find weird that such a language is used at that time. I do not like the idea of modernizing such a great piece by shakespeare. The one I really appreciated was the one with Mel Gibson which gives a type of authenticity to Hamlet since it is set around the medieval times. However the actors in the avid tenant one are much more realistic than any other one. The mother is not overly flirty and does not start a sort of makeout session with her son. Obviously each movie is different including the characters behaviors.

Movie scene comparison

During class, we watched several different versions of Hamlet of act I scene 2.
The ones that really popped up to me were the one with Mel Gibson and the one with Kenneth Branagh. All the directors like to put their own signature in the movie they direct. You can see by comparing those two movies. In the Mel Gibson version, the scene happens in a closed room where the only people present are king Claudius, Queen Gertrude, and Hamlet. After the king gives his speech to Hamlet. His mother speaks to him amd shows a little flirty relationship. In Kenneth Kang's version, it is the same dialogue except I'm a different order. The relationship between the mother and the Hamlet is much more formal and the conversation is much more public since it took place in a room full of people.

iPads.

iPads have advantages and disadvantages. During class it can get quite annoying to use the iPad with autocorrection that corrects numerous words including names. It is also a Bother to use kno and takes longer to highlight something which can then make one fall behind and have to catch up to the rhythm of the class. However the iPad makes it much easier to work. All of your heavy books are now stored in one little device which is lighter than a laptop. There is also the feeling that the use of advance technology gives. Even though it is pretty cool to use it. It can get tedious to have to deal with remembering to charge an extra device. Blogging has given a easier view towards English. It is much easier and much more efficient.

What was important in Hamlet?

After reading the 1st chapter, I noticed that the most important part is when Hamlet sees his father’s apparition as a ghost. His father informs him that his death was not an accident but was actually caused by Hamlet’s uncle who in cold blood murdered Hamlet’s father.
